Practitioners and academic scholars who are interested in studying community philanthropy and its practices, challenges, motivations, and new innovative approaches. Do I need to have prior experience of working in the social sector? No, it is not compulsory. Do I need to have a master's degree? No, a master's degree is not required for this fellowship. Can a group of individuals apply for the fellowship? No, the present grant is only open to individual fellows. Will I receive a monthly stipend? No, the honorarium will be paid on a quarterly basis for a period of 18 months. What is the nature of the program? The programme has a duration of 18 months and is a part-time, non-residential program. Can I apply if I already have a job or I am a faculty / doctoral student /post-doc? Yes. It's a part-time programme. However, researchers will have to provide a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their full time employer. Can I live anywhere in the world? No, the fellows have to be based in India to apply for the fellowship. I am a foreign national, can I apply for the fellowship? You can apply for the fellowship if you are residing in India for the duration of the programme. Is there an age limit to apply for the fellowship? No. Is it mandatory to submit proposals only on the mentioned themes? The themes provided are indicative. Fellows can choose to work on other themes falling within the realm of Community Philanthropy Will you answer all email queries? A certain time duration will be provided to answer your queries. It is encouraged to post your queries during that duration. Replies to the queries made beyond the stipulated period might not be regular. What will I receive at the end of fellowship? You will receive a certificate and the working paper will be published on the CPID website. How will I come to know about my selection for the program? All participants will be intimated on the decision of acceptance or rejection over emails. Can I complete the research fellowship before the 18 months duration? No, all selected fellows are expected to stay till the end of the program duration. What is the total honorarium to be received by fellows? The total sum to be received by a fellow for the period of 18 months is INR 3,00,000. However, out of this, honorarium will cover 60% of the total fellowship and will be paid on a quarterly basis. The rest of the fellowship is to be used as a contingency grant and will be reimbursed after provision of actual bills. For what purposes will the contingency grant be used? It is to be used for travel expenses for data collection, paper presentation, and publication fees. Will ISDM bear the expenses of my travel to the campus? Yes. Travel and accommodation expenses will be borne by ISDM upto a maximum of two times.
