What is ISDM CDSSI Hackathon: Code4Change?

Are you passionate about using data science, machine learning, and AI to solve a social issue? ISDM CDSSI Hackathon: Code4Change can help create innovative solutions to make a positive impact on the lives of marginalised groups.

Run by the Centre for Data Science and Social Impact (CDSSI) at the Indian School of Development Management (ISDM), Code4Change will be conducted virtually. It focuses on solving a pressing social issue. It is open to individuals and teams from diverse backgrounds, and there is no participation fee.

How will ISDM CDSSI Hackathon: Code4Change work?

• All those who register will then be sent a problem statement and a dataset, using which they can create solutions to address a social challenge.
• Participants need to develop and upload their solution models to the submission folder.
• A panel of jury members will evaluate the solutions based on innovation and feasibility of implementation.
• The jury will then determine the top 5 solutions. These participants will be invited to present their models before globally renowned AI experts and receive certificates from eminent sector experts during a day-long event.

• You may get the opportunity to present your work during India’s largest conference on the discipline of development management – ISDM’s Dialogues on Development Management (DoDM) event – in 2024.
• You may get the opportunity to be considered for a direct entry into the CDSSI Fellowship*.
• You will get the opportunity to present your solution at select platforms and convenings through ISDM’s network.

*only Indian nationals will be considered for the CDSSI Fellowship.

Who can participate?

Anyone can participate in the Hackathon, and there is no participation fee. You can participate in Code4Change as an individual participant or in teams of 2-5.
