Anup K. Pujari

Dr. Anup K. Pujari teaches Economic Reasoning and Public Policy at ISDM.
Dr. Pujari has been a Civil Servant and a teacher of Economics for more than four decades. In the Civil Services, he had held various positions both in the Government of India and the State Government of Karnataka. He retired from the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) in 2016 as Secretary to the Government of India heading the Ministry of MSME (Micro Small and Medium Enterprises).
Dr. Pujari has been teaching Economics for several years to the Mid-Career MPAs in the Summer Programme of the John F Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University. He has also taught at Harvard Institute of International Development (HIID), Boston University, North-eastern University, University of Massachusetts at Amherst, and Shri Ram College of Commerce, University of Delhi (between 1976 and 1980).
Prof. Pujari received his BA (Hons.) from Sambalpur University and MA from Delhi School of Economics. In addition, he has a bachelor’s degree in Law from Delhi University and is enrolled as an Advocate with Bar Council of Delhi. He is also an alumnus of Boston University from where he completed his MA in Political Economy and PhD in Economics.
